Welcome to the Virology Laboratory at the Centre for Virus research, Therapeutics and Vaccines. The laboratory is headed by Dr. Milan Surjit, who holds a doctoral degree in Molecular Biology. This laboratory focuses on the Hepatitis E virus (HEV), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) and the human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs). Broad goal is to obtain thorough in depth knowledge that may help design novel therapeutic strategies. We are also committed to alleviate human health problems and a part of the laboratory works on developing new technologies to produce affordable and efficient vaccines.
